Channelchooser.com - More Streaming Web TV

    channelchooser

Channelchooser is among the myriad sites offering streaming web TV on the internet. The site is clean, slick and user-friendly, offering channels by category and a large online screen (which can be made fullscreen as well). The site is also popular, with over 132,000 visitors just today. Like many other similar sites, they list the most popular channels, new channels and offer users to submit new channels for consideration. You can also download the site to your mobile and watch TV on your cell. Unfortunately, though, like their peers in this field, they have loads of Google ads and a slow buffering system. I maintain that Internet TV will never compete with the real thing until technology removes the delay in downloading. Otherwise, the site was pretty and functional, though not particularly innovative.

    In their own words

Channelchooser is a free TV-portal. Watch here only the best online news, entertainment, sports and music TV-channels and videos. Pick, push and play on Channelchooser.

Why it might be a killer

People like (live?) to watch TV in all places, including the internet. This site has already drawn a large loyal audience base, and given the professional design and maintenance of the site, it shows no sign of slowing down or losing viewership.

    Some questions

I always ask the same question: where is the new techology for streaming TV? Also, any reason this site is not pushing this genre ahead by offering original content or partnering with other peers to add some creativity or originality to the site? When new sites like Joost or others gain momentum, this site might be left behind in the dust.
