BrightQube.com - A new way to find stock photos

Are you looking for a great photo? Do you have a brochure that needs a few images or a pretty frame that is missing that perfect photo? If you are looking for a professional photo related to certain key words go to BrightQube.com. Not only does this site have bazillions of high quality photos but also the search tool is fascinating. Users begin finding their 'perfect image' by typing in a keyword (for now only one word, more in the future). The site then builds a 'dynamic mosaic of all the images that have been tagged with the keyword. Users can then use the interactive zoom, pan and filter capabilities to narrow the search even more. Filters include pin pointing a price range, resolution, etc. All photos are for sale so they can't be downloaded for free. However, there are two databases to search in depending on your budget. The professional photo search reveals images that cost hundreds of dollars, and the everyday photos are less than $5. Brightqube.com does a great service to customers looking to quickly find a specific image and also to the stock photographers who are getting their work "found, seen and sold."

  In their own words

"BrightQube is not only providing creative professionals with an innovative solution, we are providing access to a collection of over two million images including leading brands of royalty-free and a selection of high quality, lower priced microstock imagery for everyday."

Why it might be a killer

BrightQube.com really offers an innovative online experience and takes out the hassle of clicking though hundreds of pages of photos to fid the one perfect shot.

  Some questions

Are there plans change the organization of the mosaics so that similar photos are clumped together or in categories?

Thanks for your feedback. Not sure what you experienced in it "freezing" as it's been stable for some time. (Although any site can experience internet weather at times, I guess). It does require a broadband connection, as any image intensive site would. Also, you can view all the neighbor images in the Detail View by clicking the (rollover) arrows in the image to see the next one above, below, left or right. No other site that sells stock photography allows you to consume this volume of licensed imagery this quickly and easily. Also, simply click to the outside of the image Detail and it goes away. Thumbnails also disappear by simply rolling off of them. Please feel free to leave further feedback via our Contact form on the site. Thanks, Lee.

I had a smiliar problem. The site kept freezing on me and I had to reload or exit all together. Also it would be nice if there was a "next" and "previous" as opposed to having to close each picture before opening the next one, which is very time consuming and causes the freezing inbetween actions. This also applies to the details. When I click on a picture I want to be able to see the picture and the details very quickly and be able to change pictures and details quickly. I like the concept but the site simply isn't quick enough for it's functions to work properly and effectively.

Nice, but it gets boring quite quickly and it locked up on me a few times, not very reliable.
