Break.com is one of the leading video sharing sites online. Mostly for amateur videographers, the site pays those who submit videos that make it to their homepage ($400 for an original video and $2,000 for a produced short film). A site makes it to the homepage by having 25,000 viewers the first week or meeting a set of algorithms set by the site. Somewhat heartbreaking for me is that they have "Girl of the Day" vidoes. They pay $50 if you are selected as Girl of the Day and the top rated Girl of the Day for each month wins $500! Take note: there was no such thing as "Boy of the Day." Plus, the most viewed weekly video was a woman in a bikini in a video titled, "What I learned from porn." Ah...how far we have (not) come.

When are they going to hire a feminist, or at least a semi-feminist, and then equalize the eye candy aspect of their site (not that i really like any kind of objectification, but i guess if it is going to exist....)?
