    BlowUp.BondArtScienceFair.com - Flickr Enlarged

    blowup

You’ve probably heard of the cult classic movie BlowUp which is, in the briefest sense, about photography and murder. Well, now there’s a website of the same name; while it has nothing to do with murder, it does have everything to do with Flickr. It’s a site which allows you to blow up, or enlarge your Flickr photos. Users can blow up their photos to full screen size and they can then embed them on their own personal sites or profiles. Of course, none of the photo quality is compromised; rather your photos will come out looking larger and better than ever. Users can put BlowUp on their own sites; for those who know CSS, the interface and color palette are customizable. Otherwise, you can simply use the preset values. Download it now for free.

    In their own words

“Blow Up presents that data at any size - allowing for fullscreen views of photos as well as embedding on personal sites. Of course, if you just want to view your flickr account without downloading a thing, you can always do that too.
Blow Up was created during a break from client work at Bond Art + Science by Senior Interface Developer Jonathan Greacen. Writing code is fun; new challenges are even more fun. This challenge was to learn the API and build something that flickr doesn't already offer: presentation quality for users and portability for developers.”

Why it might be a killer

Bigger is better, right? BlowUp gives your Flickr photo sets an extra flair. It appears to be easy to use and set up; and it’s a light, fast download at only around 50kb.

    Some questions

How easy is this to use? How is this going to be monetized?
