    BigStage.com - Create A 3D Avatar

    bigstage

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to be in a 50 Cent video. I don’t know why, but I just do. If you have a similar dream, then you should take a look at Bigstage.com. With this site, you’ll be able to create a 3D avatar that resembles you, and paste it into some of your favorite scenes from movies, music videos, and other media. This will allow you to live out your fantasies of being featured in a big screen movie. After you’re done making the video, you can share it with your friends so they can envy your stellar performance. Creating the avatar is surprisingly simple. Just upload three pictures of your face (from different angles, of course), and the site will take care of the rest. This technology is truly amazing, and it should be put to work on other sites, maybe even social networks. The avatars are surprisingly life-like, and when you put them onto a video, they don’t event look out of place.

    In their own words

“BigStage.com, currently in public beta, offers breakthrough technology allowing users to easily create and integrate a life-like 3-D avatar of themselves, called an @ctor, into everything from famous movie scenes, TV shows and video games, to music videos, short video clips, virtual worlds, still images, user-generated content, instant messages, e-mails, social networks and more – instantly.”

Why it might be a killer

This is fun. That’s the main thing that will keep people coming back for more of this awesome site.

    Some questions

Why doesn’t it run in Safari? Will they add more features when the leave the beta stage? Is there a requirement for the videos you can edit with your avatar?
