Blowtorch puts out 6 feature films per year. They play in hundreds of theaters nationwide. Any one film might be funny or edgy or scary, but if anything, they will always celebrate irreverence, engaging you in a familiar voice and attitude. ”
Why it might be a killer
Blowtorch is taking the reverse approach to integrating new media and old. The big networks, ABC, NBC, Fox, etc are turning to the web to hit the critical 18-24 year old market. Blowtorch on the other hand, is looking to traditional media to combine web memes with those of the big studios. They’ve already got a number of shorts out and a feature film is set to be released next year.
