CamTwist is a Mac based app which adds special effects to your webcam videos.
It works with Skype, Ustream.tv, Yahoo, Justin.tv and Stickam.com, among others. Once you’ve downloaded it, CamTwist gives you the option to spruce up your videos with such cool effects as flames, bullet holes, bubbles and earthquakes. There’s also a comic book cartoon effect which makes you it look like you stepped out of a pixilated animation. You can mix your video stream with still images from your desktop too. CamTwist is completely free. Most of the effects require that your computer supports Quartz Extreme. You can add your own effects using Quartz Composer or Objective-C plug-in.
