It’s called 99Designs, and it was, appropriately enough, designed by designers for designers. 99Designs connects designers with clients and lets clients choose amongst the best design for their company. Designers compete against each other, and the winning design gets a cash prize. Any designer can join in the competition it’s free—simply register. Designers can message other designers and get feedback from clients. There’s also forums for designer discussion. So far over one million dollars in cash prizes have been handed out, and there are over eleven thousand designers registered.

| I am not associated with this site, the site that is written about, or anyone around here, just fyi. I simply stumbled onto this article looking for a place to find more designers. But...I just read that no spec article, besides you obviously being a handout lib, the people that actually use outsourcing for design don't even get your little squabbling intricate grips... we don't understand the lingo, and the whole "spec" thing works best for the client. Remember you are in a capitalistic society, where the client actually matters, and in your head, the client should matter more than you... even the potential client should matter more than you. I feel as a person that has found many a perm employee through your hated "spec" (is it?) work that that format allows me to see who is better, and who fits the taste of my market the best... if anyone writes an article like that one above, then in my head, I just think they are scared their skills don't meet up... and remember I am more important than you, I am the client. Liberals, lol. | ||
