Yumondo.com - User created city guides

How would you like to be able to get an insider´s scoop on where to go, what to do, and general things-you-need-to-know about major cities around the world? This is the idea behind Yumondo.com, a site that is working to get members registered and contributing to it right now. As a member you are able to create a profile based around your personal picks for the city you live in. You can post photos, list events, people, places, and “things” (games, music, art, botanical gardens, and whatever else you can come up with). You can either add items on your own, or you can search other members´ profiles using tags and add their picks to your profile. It´s like city guides that are user-created and shared among members. The site also features Google Maps to accompany each item´s location. Yumondo is also a bit of a community site, with messaging capabilities. To become a member you have to submit a request for an invitation.

Many cities have individual sites like these, but it´s a great idea to have an overall site that represents all cities. Now that people are moving around more than ever, it will be useful for people to link to members living in other places.
