Usynk uses the Pligg CMS, which is better known as Digg cloned. Users submit items, news stories, articles, whatever, and they vote; top items get front page coverage, the rest sinks down and is forgotten. Usynk is giving us a somewhat different take on the whole Pligg phenomenon. Users submit examples, demos and codes in the form of audio, video, and regular text instruction. The audience votes for the best examples—the one which gives the most detailed, or most relevant and easy to understand explanation. The one that gets the most votes wins for that particular step. At the end all the voted steps will be made into a free e-book. So far, published items have to do with Javascript and PhP.

Usynk takes a different approach to Pligg which is interesting. The end results will actually be used to form a manual. Usually, top voted items are simply get more coverage, with Usynk it goes towards learning. Sounds like a good idea.

Usynk will only succeed if it can get more people to submit and interact, how will it do so? Is it just going to be focused on programming and computer type instruction, or will it take up other subjects as well?
