Urban Takeover is a reality game in “your city.” Users claim their city, then put tickets up in that city (in real life). Users then mark their stickers on a map, either via the website or SMS. Users can either use their own stickers, or print them out on the website. When someone comes across one of the stickers, the users is notified of the find. The cities already claimed are all over the world, spanning from Miami to Berlin. Users organize their own teams, which are listed on the Urban Takeover site. Those teams are then plotted on a Google map on the website. To use the site and play the game, users must create an account and log in.

“UrbanTakeover is an alternate reality game in your city. You claim spots/territory by putting up stickers (in real life) and sending us a text message or entering the address on the website. Stick stickers in the city, mark your territory on a map, [and] be notified, when someone crosses you.”

The concept of this interactive online game could keep the interest of users for at least a few minutes, but Urban Takeover is lacking in information, design, and graphics. The site needs more development, as well as more explanation. The concept, however, is fun and entertaining.

What graphics can be added to the site? How the text be enhanced? What information should be provided to further explain the intent of the site?
