The Mom Wiki at Type-A Mom is a site designed to be created and maintained by the real know-it-alls in parenting, the moms. Moms can get blogs, image hosting, and you can save all those million tasks they have been just meaning to get to eventually. The articles aren't just written for moms, but by moms, and any visitor can be a contributor.

There is also a strong emphasis on allowing moms to self-promote, either with bios and links at the end of articles, personal wiki pages or by submitting to the free Mom Wiki Directory. There are also currently many sites in which a select group of writers dish out all the advice, but at the Mom Wiki anyone can write. Moms can also add comments to articles or edit wiki pages to add their own insights and experiences. There is also a friendship network.
