Tourism Tome is a new site that allows you to upload photos of your favorite places, share hotel and temporary rental information, and in general, get to know places without leaving the comfort of your own home. The site is new so it is currently limited in user content but the framework will allow people to upload photos by continent and country and at the same time share local hotel information. Photo galleries are nicely displayed by country and offer a great way of getting to know a place before you visit. If nothing else, Tourism To Me is a good site for uploading your recent travel photos and sharing easily with your friends but it could also become a site where users go to find free places to stay.

“The TourismTome Portal has started on June 29, 2008. Our aim is to create the biggest possible society of people who love to travel. We want to achieve it by: Gathering the biggest possible number of photos from all over the world with the locations assigned. Thanks to this, without leaving your house, you will be given the opportunity to see how every recess of the world look like and select the travel of your dreams!”

Why it might be a killer

Perhaps the best part of this site is the user profile section where people can state whether they will invite guests. What better way to get to know a place than by living with a local family?
