tileplex.com - Connect on a whole new level

Tileplex.com is a cool website to visit if you are a Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon fan or just bored at work.

The idea is that by searching their database, you can find tiles of your favorite products, people, shows, music, celebrities, etc, and connect them in an animated web. All of the tiles are found on Amazon, but there is no link to buy the products. Once tiles are chosen, users connect the tiles by ¨slinking¨ them together with key words or descriptions. Each tile has it´s own profile where users can see it´s slinks and how it has been used in past connections. As the connection web grows it will form a ¨mosaic¨of all your favorite things. On the profile pages you can also leave comments and send it to a bookmarking site. There is a community of users but the interaction is limited. Members can manage to find other user profiles but it is difficult to maneuver. One example of a mosaic is a mobile phone, ear piece, ac adaptor, airline, destination, etc. Visual learners will love this site.
