    SubmitYourVote.com - A Social Polling Site

    submityourvote

Let’s have a show of hands for how many of you think that there are just way too many social polling sites on the web. Whether or not you agree, the “show of hands” method is still the quickest, most efficient way to gather and interpret community knowledge and opinion, and SubmitYourVote is another social polling site who is trying to do exactly that. The concept is simple. Users generate their own polls, pose questions they are interested and get results over a broad demographic to find answers. Submit your vote wants to create a “voting revolution,” but only with your help.

    In their own words

This page should be called About You because this site is about you and what you think. A few months ago, we did some random searches on questions we had about our world, and the results we found were scattered answers in many different forms, on many different sites. Essentially, no concrete place to get all of the answers. We decided that your need to know was not being met. Therefore, we are here for one reason only: you and your need to know... whatever it may be. Our goal is to create a voting community. This community will serve the greater good by providing the answers to your questions. These answers will come from the people and the majority will determine the correct answers. You won’t have to wonder anymore about what the people think about everyday. You can find those answers here at submityourvote.com. And if they are not here, you can put them here. To achieve this goal, we need your help. We need your votes and we need your questions and answers. As we grow this community, we can begin to create a voting revolution.

Why it might be a killer

I have to say that I haven’t seen any new serious social polling sites out in a while, though it’s still a lucrative webspace to invest some time in. Submit Your Vote doesn’t differentiate itself in any visible way from other polling sites that exist on the web, though I’d have to say that their interface is a little more professional web 2.0 than some of the others who seem to think that you can never have too much glittery type face. I am impressed because it seems that the website is getting a lot of it’s attention directed from the Spanish speaking community, on other polling websites you don’t see too much bilingual polling, whether that was intentional or not.

    Some questions

How will they induce the public to generate more polls? Could they divide polling catagories into politics, religion, just for fun, etc. once they get enough UGC?
