SportsUltra.com - The Sports News You Want

Are you tired of searching for the sports news that interests you? Well it´s about time you visit SportsUltra.com and create a MyUltra page. SportsUltra.com searches newspapers and sports news websites to give you all of the best sports news on one site. You can search through all of the sports news without creating a MyUltra page, but a MyUltra page makes finding the sports news you want even easier, in fact you don´t have to find anything. When you create a MyUltra page all the sports news that interests you are delivered right to you. When you create your page you choose what type of; sports, sports teams, players, sports writers, and college alumni you want to receive news about. What you choose will be displayed on your page and you will receive email alerts about the latest news. There´s no time spent on skimming the paper or surfing the web, all you need to do is go to your MyUltra page and relax.

  In their own words

"SportsUltra.com puts you in control of the sports content you want, letting you easily track all of your favorite teams (including alumni), players, sports writers and view their latest news and video clips from around the web, all in a single location!"

Why it might be a killer

UltraSports gives you the opportunity to create a MyUltra page, which you customize to receive the sports news that you want. Reading your news is as simple as visiting your page. Besides the MyUltra page, SportsUltra.com has an extensive selection of sports news for those who are not interested in creating a MyUltra page.

  Some questions

The MyUltra page is a great concept, but the site could be even more interactive if users could create a profile and communicate with each other. Including forums that would discuss past or future games would also generate more activity and possibly attract more users to the site.

The interface in this feels very clunky, I just saw another site like this called fanboom.com and I like how I can see all the news together on one page, but it accels in design because its separated by team. Good thinking though, I just think it needs better execution. Also, if you aren't asking for emails - and there seems to be no ads, how will you make money? Is there any user interaction, like voting or commenting on the stories?

Love this site and already have my favs in. Can you add sportswriters from New orleans and Baton Rouge and college women's basketball? This is GREAT!
