Scribd is most easily described as a text version of YouTube. It is a social network that lets you tag, share, and comment on uploaded documents (.doc, .pdf, .txt, .ppt, .xls, .ps, .lit). The pieces you upload are available for review and the site keeps tracks of how many votes (here they are called “likes”) and views your pieces get. Scribd offers flexible file formats for download and upload. Like Youtube, Scribd allows you to search for more documents by the same author, or related documents or documents with similar tags.
