RateMyDrawings is the latest offering in the evolving art and technology sphere. It’s purpose is double: to serve as a community for artists to gather and critique each other’s work as well a drawing platform. RateMyDrawings has a built-in flash based drawing software tool for users to create their art. The application simply requires a capable browser. It works like other drawing applications with the usual tools and features: paint brushes with changeable thicknesses, line weights, different canvas backgrounds, a palette of colors, and manageable layers. Users submit the drawing online and will receive an email once it’s ready to be unlocked for public consumption. Drawings are posted in any number of categories. Each user is allowed one vote. Competition winners are based on the highest number of votes and the winner gets a prize. You can also upload your drawings on to blogs or websites. Other features of interest are the social and learning factor of drawings being played back stroke-by-stroke and their DrawChat - which is a multi-user collaborative drawing chat room where many users can contribute to one art piece.
