Metacafe is a place were users can upload, watch, rate, and comment on short videos. You can sort through the videos by their ranking, how many times they´ve been discussed, how many times they´ve been viewed, or how recent they are. If you post a video, you stand to make money if it is well liked from their “Producer Rewards”. After 20,000 viewings, you can make $100 and $5 ever 1,000 views after that. You can see how much each video has made, so if you want to see what the competition is, you know right where to find it. $250,000 has already been given away to 200 contributors.

| Why it might be a killer | |||
It´s like YouTube, but you can make money and see how much other videos are making. It is a very clean site and people can easily find what the best movies are in terms of a bunch of criteria. They already have 17 million monthly visitors. This site would definitely interest anyone hoping to create movies. They also have a lot of advertising being done discreetly through icons at the bottom of the page that go to games and ringtones they sponsor. Their revenue is doubling each quarter and they are going to be hiring a lot more people and starting to work with movie studios, record labels, and producers.
| Some questions | |||
Will people change over from YouTube since there they can find a lot more material and it is more easily searched? Will people want to sort through all of the videos to find which ones they want to watch?
