Juicespot is a site for book lovers who want to share their opinions on their favorite books or on books that they have recently read. You’ll need to register in order to be able to access the complete database or to add your own reviews. Juicespot also lists books with the highest user rating on the homepage and provides you with a link to buy the book directly from Juicespot. Also included with registration is your own “My Juicespot” personal space which lists all of the books that you’ve written opinions about, books you’ve tagged as “gotta reads” and opinions of other users that you’ve tagged as being interesting. Every few weeks, Juicespot publishes a thought provoking commentary in order to get people talking as well.

The ability to essentially bookmark books that you’d like to read is a nice feature that will allow people to generate their own must read lists.

This is an already crowded space and it will be difficult for Juicespot to reach the necessary critical mass to get this user-generated content site off the ground. How do they plan on reaching that critical mass?
