    Jiibe.com - Job-Match Service Gets Personal

    jiibe

Jiibe's a new job matching service which for all intents and purposes turns the work of finding you a perfect job into a sort of corporate culture dating service. The site takes user-generated content and social networking to help employees find their exact fit as related to values and work style. Reviews and feedback are pulled together to form a single profile for a company. A potential employee is given a personality quiz, to find matching correlations between job seeker and job offerer. The quiz operates via two sliders which indicate your ideal position in situation-based questions. Once you've completed the quiz you're invited to create a personal profile, including info about your current job which will be added to that company's own profile. Based on your test and profile, Jiibe will find companies that best match. You can filter results by industry, company size, and compatibility. The site also includes a discussion board where users can post questions and answers about a company. User profiles are also available for viewing.

    In their own words

"The best way to find a great place to work is to ask a friend, but Jiibe takes things a step further by asking everyone! Jiibe helps people find or create a better place to work by matching company cultures on 18 critical factors. Best of all it's FREE!"

Why it might be a killer

Jiibe takes an interesting approach to job matching. It seems to provide a more personal assessment of company and employee meshing prospects. They've got outside reviews as well, which enriches the overall content. Ultimately, with time, they could provide both employees and companies with much better experiences.

    Some questions

A company like Jiibe relies on user content, so not until they get a pretty solid base will they be really helpful. It would seem beneficial if anonymous postings were allowed. Also, more editorial content, perhaps job tips, etc.
