    GodTube.com - Broadcast Him

    godtube

GodTube seems to be the Christian answer to YouTube. GodTube is a Christian online video social networking site that connects Christians into a network of believers. This growing online community brings together Christians from around the world to upload, share, watch and comment on Christian content. It offers Christian believers another way to experience their faith - online. GodTube allows all users to view posted video clips but registered users can take advantage of many other features offered on the site, including the ability to create unique video personal profiles online. GodTube offers a diverse array of content ranging from sermons and powerful personal testimonials to humorous youth-oriented videos. You can browse videos by most recent, most viewed, most discussed, top favorites, top rated, recently featured and random. Or you can browse channels such as bible, news, women, baptist church, marriage, photographs, drama, comedy and videos in Spanish, among many others.

    In their own words

“GodTube utilizes Web based technology to connect Christians for the purpose of encouraging and advancing the Gospel worldwide. GodTube.com is owned and operated by Big Jump Media, Inc.”

Why it might be a killer

GodTube is a good example of a new group of websites that aim to do the same things regular websites do, but with a Christian point of view. GodTube has a huge potential audience of 82 million Americans that use faith-based Internet. According to a recent Pew Internet Study, more than 82 million Americans use the Internet for faith-related reasons, which is more than the number of online bankers or online daters. GodTube has just launched and is already attracting more than 500,000 unique visitors per month.

    Some questions

Will faith-based websites emerge as a powerful new trend? How they will be able to compete with big name video sharing sites like YouTube and Metacafe? Will they add the possibility to download videos from the site?
