Gd-Sites.com - A Wanna-Be-Digg Site

Good Sites is like Digg-lite, using the Digg format to encourage users to post their favorite links. You post a story, article or website and wait for reader feedback -- if your post gets 3 or more votes it will move the the published category and likely get placed on or near the homepage. The latest entry was from 5 days ago, and the total number of votes for each story was usually 3 to 5 votes. They do tag stories and allow for searches, but otherwise the categories were lumped into ' recently popular,' 'top stories,' etc. They don't offer categorization by subject matter (and in many of their existing categories there were no listings). I guess the real question for this site is, "why create another Digg?" "How is this site different?"

Everything here is submitted by our community (thats you), and other people see it, and vote what they like best. The most voted submissions will stay the home page and on the sidebar on Top 10, so all the visitors can see them, and check them out."

If people want an alternative to Digg, I guess this might be a place to go.

What is the real purpose of this site? To create Digg-lite? It doesn't look too good when the last posting was five days ago and the total number of postings and votes is quite small. How are they planning to market this site? How do they hope to make a profit?
