GamerLibrary.com - Organize Your Video Game Collection

    gamerlibrary

If you've got a massive stash of video games, you might find it's easier to keep track of them with an online catalogue rather than by shuffling aimlessly through bin under your bed. Fortunately, GamerLibrary provides such a simple service for all you disorganized gamers out there. With GamerLibrary, you can create an account and build up your library of games by using the site's searchable database to specify which games you have in your collection (you can't enter them in manually). GamerLibrary also encourages you to invite your friends so you can create a social network of gamers across which you can swap games; you can search your friends' library and make borrowing requests if you see they have a game that you've been wanting to play. GamerLibrary is completely free to use.

    In their own words

"Wouldn't it be great if you could manage your game catalog online? Then, you could invite your social network of gaming friends to see and share your video games and vice versa.

    And it is all FREE!"

Why it might be a killer

GamerLibrary provides an easy and free way to keep track of your game collection online, and can also help you track down games you don't own, since you can see which of your friends own what games.

    Some questions

I think a service like GamerLibrary might becomemore popular if it offered more than just cataloging. It would be great if it could expand to inlcude a feature that let you explore games rather than simply see their titles and whether your friends have them or not. For example, GamerLibrary could offer more information about a given game, such as related games, when and by whom it was created, etc.
