Feedbooks.com – Download and publish a book in minutes

    feedbooks

If you are book lover, a passionate writer or just a collector of weird newspaper articles, check out feedbooks.com. There are three main functions on Feedbooks.com: discover and download published material, publish your own creations and create a newspaper about of RSS feeds and widgets. The discovery section really blew me away as I clicked and downloaded 1984 in about 55 seconds. Searches are intuitive and for a reader who is bored, there is a list of popular material, new books, random lists and "advanced" searches. The advanced search has to do with TOC, hyphenation & footnotes and is mainly utilized for very specific academic searches. The second function, sharing, it's a great way for writers to get their work online and available for sharing. Authors can tag their submission and find similar content by other writers. The best part about the submission process is that Feedbooks.com does the heavy lifting in terms of technology and the content creator can just worry about the writing itself. The third function on Feedbooks.com is a program where users create their own newspaper to share with friends. The content of the newspaper is collect from various RSS feeds and can include all types of articles, horoscopes, weather forecast, crossword puzzles and more. To help about amateur newspaper creators, Feedbooks.com has posted a few lists with available information to use. Finally writers have a safe and simple place to publish their work and share it with the reading community.

    In their own words

"Made with e-paper devices in mind (Sony PRS-500 & iRex iLiad), Feedbooks is a complete experience for mobile reading. Anyone can easily publish content, and customize the formatting."

Why it might be a killer

This is the ideal website for writers who want to publish their work on the web but either don't know where to put it, or people who want criticism from the book community but not yet a publishing house. The site itself is simple and clean just like an organized library or classy bookstore. An additional perk to the simple design is that the vibe is respectful and straightforward as to filter full focus onto the writing itself, not a flashy webpage.
