AjaxRain is calling themselves the “secret behind your inspiration!” As we all know, inspiration isn’t usually generated all within our singularly creative being, infact, sometimes we just are downright “inspired” by another person’s work, a little copy and paste never hurt anyone, right? These developers are willing to share their secrets to inspire you, because, after all secrets are meant to be shared, and the juiciest ones don’t always involve Paris Hilton. When you click through on an example, a new window will pop up explaining how you can implement the given feature on your website or blog. They’ll take you through all the steps and then give you examples from other sites, giving you an idea on how it should load. This is also a great way to market your web design and programming agency, giving prospective clients a sample of the quality of your work.

AjaxRain is actually a very useful site, though it doesn’t appear to be at first. For starters, the homepage doesn’t load a single amount of information on what the site does, and none of the “inspirations” are categorized or put into separate tabs. You have to really do some searching around to find exactly what you need, though there is a tag cloud they do not provide a search box. Some major functionality improvements need to be made on the site, but the idea is fulfilling a need in the programming community and certainly serves a purpose on the web.
