Do you have a hankering for sharing your special secret BBQ sauce with the online community through a video? If you do, or if you just like to cook and share your cooking skills with others, join Active Cooks. This is a grassroots site created by those who love the art of cooking and the art of demonstrating cooking. Anyone can submit a post and/or view a post to share with the world, and the video will be categorized and catalogued for show. So far, "peachy" seems to be the main chef on site, but maybe in time others will start posting. I tried to find more through their links to restaurant directories, photos, channels, etc, but nothing came up...which may just be a function of a super slow site/technical issues with their site rather than zero posted content. Either way, the site has good intentions and an obvious love for all things culinary, but it needs a lot of love and attention before it is ready for prime time.

Cooking is a favorite pastime for millions of people, so there is room for many different websites highlighting video demonstrations. This site has potential and a seemingly genuine love for the art.

This site doesn't seem ready to be up and running yet, as it was slow and erratic in function (some times links would pull up, other times not). I realize it is new and needs to develop an audience/users, but it might be better to go in test mode and build some buzz and interest before going out for public review, especially when there is a lot of competition out there for this genre.
