Absolute-portal.com - Jokes, pictures, flash games

    Absolute-portal

This blog/social network kind of site puts together graphic and written jokes plus funny and sometimes strange multimedia content, which is free to download and paste in your own web, or just enjoy taking a look at. It also features info on freebies and sweepstakes on the most diverse online and offline products, ranging from Nestle's crunchies to The Home Depot coupons. Also, the site features an ever-updating forum which you can only access if you are a registered member, which you also have to be in order to post things in the portal. However, the forum does not seem to host too much of a discussion, rather more content of the kind that is posted in the rest of this web.

    In their own words

"Game is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Limit one (1) game play per person, and/or registration per day.

Log-in to your account and you will be automatically notified if you are a winner, subject to verification. If you receive a message that contains any message other than a winning prize message, you are not a prize winner. You must be a registered member of the Website in order to participate. Registration is free. If you are not a registered member of the Website, you may register by clicking on the registration icon on the Website.

Limit one prize per person. PRIZES: (70) Daily Prizes Available. Each winner gets an Xbox 360 Elite console, 2,000 MSN Points, ten (10) Xbox 360 titles (of Sponsors' choosing), and a one (1) year Xbox Live Gold subscription. The approximate retail value ("ARV") of each prize package is $1,175."

Why it might be a killer

A very good and interesting feature about absolute-portal.com is that the site was only started this year, and since then it has gathered quite a lot of content, so one can expect it to keep on growing and adding up more interesting stuff and thus become the next killer startup.

    Some questions

At trying to be absolute, his site seems to have gone too far: it gathers too many things together in a way that is altogether not too clear to understand. Maybe they can try to have tags or soothing of the sort to try and categorize the available content so that it can be taken advantage of by its users, rather than lay there hoping that somebody will notice?
