As the story goes, women, after taking time off, perhaps years, to raise their children, have a hard time going back to work. Companies often aren’t as accepting or family-friendly as they could be. OnRamp provides invaluable resources for women looking to rejoin the corporate world. They have news articles, career coaches, groups, and a social network all aimed to help women get back in the game. The site also includes a listing of career, business and lifestyle blogs, a job posting board, a discussion forum, and interviews. OnRamp isn’t all strictly business. It plays host to a robust home and lifestyle section as well as a reading room where you’ll be able to write your own book. MyOnRamp is free to join.

MyOnRamp is a great resource for women. While there are many job related sites, none are truly geared to women who are re-entering the workforce. The site is pretty comprehensive with career tools as well as networking space for women to socialize and discuss problems.

The site design makes it hard to distinguish content. Will they add more career advice information, ie an expansion on the career coach? How will OnRamp increase its numbers?
