    Workology.com - Don't Be a Slave to Work

    workology

If you’re not lucky enough to be trust-funded, sugar-daddy-ied, or have good looks and a modicum of talent, you’re probably stuck working. Luckily, the workplace isn’t what it used to be. No longer is the 9 to 5 for life necessary to pursue life, liberty and happiness. People change careers regularly and the 9 to 5 deal is becoming old hat. People want to be able to control the way they work, which is why UK-based Sam and Anuj, quit their 9 to 5’s and created Workology. Workology wants to help you control the way you work, so you know longer have to be some cog in a giant, anonymous machine. It was built for folks who are looking for jobs that suit their particular working style. So whether you’re a retiree looking for a fruitful way to spend your time, a freelancer, a mother returning to the work force, or a straight out of college graduate wanting to experience life, Workology can help. It’s simple just sign up, promote your expertise, find work and build your network. You’ll get your own MiniSite with unlimited storage. If you need to find some help, you can post jobs for free. Joining is completely free as well.

    In their own words

“The world of work is changing and everyone wants to control their working life to fulfil their potential. But we reckon there's a better way to work than the traditional 'nine-to-five'. We know because we've both been there. We cut our teeth at two of the country's biggest institutions (Sam at Goldman Sachs; Anuj at BBC). We wanted more control over the way we worked, but how and where? No single place addressed all the challenges we faced – and existing solutions were square pegs in round holes.”

Why it might be a killer

Workology is a solid idea. The world of work is indeed changing. People want more control, they want to live their lives without being slaves to work. Workology provides them with the tools to do so. It’s free and requires a simple registration to get started.

    Some questions

Can Workology provide its members with enough enriching opportunities to keep afloat? Will they expand their focus beyond the UK? What’s their own business model?
