At first glance, WiseOz looks as if it may be a social network for magicians or jesters. It’s actually a social network with a slant towards collaborative problem solving and creative wits. There are several different aspects to site. Wisewits are online events or puzzles which are composed of a series of clues in need of resolution. Figure it out and you could win a prize. Next, we’ve got Quickwits. This is basically a gaming/teaser section; here you can play Tetrix, Conundrum, and Braniac, among other things. MatchWits, which isn’t quite done, will allow members to experience ‘organized, paired challenges’. Finally, in the Circles of Interest, users can connect with others who share the same likes and interests; it’s organized as straightforward topics which open up for adding images, discussions, blog posts etc. Users can join up for free and manage their account under the My Ego section.

WiseOz, you’ll remark right away is different from the rest. It actually creates an atmosphere where members can socialize and get to know one another through participating in well crafted challenges. The benefit here is that, members aren’t simply passive, activity isn’t limited to comments or pictures. Rather, members can participate in interesting ways. It’s definitely worth a look.

| This site definitely takes some getting used to for the first 15 minutes, but after you take the dive to start participating in the events and interacting with the users, it's all worth it (I suppose the prizes make it worth it, too). A big plus to this site's community is the chat room where at certain times--get this--you can actually chat with the administrators and operators of the site to give your input or to get some help. This is a true gem of a site! | ||

| My wife said it best: "WISEOZ is the best site you've ever found!" Of course, I was flashing my $40 giftcards to Lowe's and the Doors Greatest Hits CD in her face so she might be biased. I've made a lot of friends on WISEOZ that I would'nt have found any other way. I find myself thinking about their puzzles all day long and it's fun to play even if you don't win. It's even better if you win though, I've won over $200 in giftcards, 2 CDs, 3 movies, a Giant Hairball, a mug, a Time Machine and more WitPoints than I know what to do with. Check it out! | To respond to the questions that were raised, we would love to offer other applications to plug into WISEOZ. Right now, WiseWits are completely custom but we have a larger vision for them with better prizes and greater challenges.
