Wippz is an automotive community site. The spotlight, of course, is on cars and car lovers. It’s got all the requisite social network features such as photos, videos, groups and forums. Member profiles can be customized to a degree—you can change the background color scheme—however, the main idea is to provide an area for members to leave each other comments, to write blurbs about themselves, their likes and experiences, and to post their own pictures. Here, you can also check out a member’s friends, read their blog, if they’ve created one, and check out their status. Outside of the community portal, there’s news and events. News items are listed on the homepage and can be filtered by popularity. The monthly archives can be found on a drop down menu at the top of the page. The ‘Events’ section is located behind the Wippz logo. Here, you’ll find mostly auto shows.

Wippz is off to an adequate start. It has the features users have come to know and expect. It’s already got a good number of members involved, plus it focuses on a popular niche.

Wippz is disorganized. There are ads and links strewn across the page. The layout isn’t particularly helpful either—you’ve got important navigational elements hidden behind the logo, making it difficult to access. There’s also not a lot of quality content.
