The online dating scene can be a hotbed for the all too canny and monotonous drill of question and answers which have no real world parallel. Yes, we know you like long walks on the beach and appletinis, but there´s still much to flesh out; most dating sites give a bland impression of yourself, with cookie cutter profile molds that leave a massive you-shaped space missing from the picture. WhereJackMetJill intends to be the corrective to all generic dating spaces. It gives its users a unique platform for customizing their profile, called a DateSpace, which is where you can truly paint a full portrait of yourself, with stories, poems, photos, likes, dislikes, and a description of your perfect match. Members can tailor their background colors and upload new pics; there are options for changing the DateSpace layout, and there are spaces for fav films and music. Paying members will be able to take advantage of the messaging features, so that Jill will know when Jack has hotlisted her or if there are responses to her profile. £12.99 gets you a month of commenting/messaging usage while £24.99 gives you four months access.

In their own words
“Wherejackmetjill is a refreshing new online dating site. If you are single and looking for a date, your perfect match or potential Soul mate then Wherejackmetjill is for you.
Why it might be a killer
Online dating has become extremely popular. WJMJ takes its cue from sites like Myspace and allows daters to customize their profiles to suit their unique tastes. It avoids the formulaic trap which many dating sites are prone to and WJMJ is simple to use.
Some questions

Despite their claims to the opposite, the site does feature some standard about me options, and if you browse through user profiles, a good deal of them haven´t really taken advantage of the customizing features. Will users be attracted to the prices? Couldn´t they just as easily meet people through MySpace?
