In their own words
¨Univillage connects students at universities across the UK. You can find people on campus, contact anyone through the message system and even send digital photos to your friends' phones, as well as a wealth of other features and ideas.¨
Why it might be a killer
This website is awesome because it combines the friend stalking fun of Facebook with music information and sharing. It provides college kids a way to share legally and be in the known when it comes to local concerts and events. Blogging and leaving messages for friends is a clever way to combine the emotional and public lives of users while still keeping some privacy. New artists will find a creative playground on Univillage to spread their music and artists can also post their work to get exposure. Students are also given a cool way to search for societies and clubs that interest them.
Some questions
This website is currently not available to students in the US, which is a big market. Once the site has been established will it open up to the US? Also, what are the regulations about sharing music versus buying it on this site?
