The closer your average character count is to 140, the better your score on Tweet140.com. You could consider it a personal challenge, or compete against friends for the best average. There is no signing-up necessary – you simply start following tweet140 from your Twitter account, and the program will automatically start tracking how many characters you use in each tweet sent. Under the default settings, you will receive a DM from tweet140 every three days or ten tweets (whichever is longer), to report your average.
