TownQueens, seemingly, takes out some of the dating part of TownKings and specializes its functions for women. I say seemingly because TownKings and TownQueens are on the same site, and there is not an ability to tell them apart. You can create a profile, add friends, have parties, recommend restaurants, find a partner for seeing a movie, etc. The site is raffling off a brand new Nintendo Wii among all new members who register at TownKings.com. Overall, it seems a typical social networking site - but tailored to local areas.

I have learned that I should never underestimate the potential value of any new social networking site. This site seems typical and unoriginal, despite its focus on local areas, but maybe it is hitting a new niche. I believe that focusing on social networking for women in a certain community could work as a niche, but I could not discern their ideas from the current site.

What is the difference between TownKings and TownQueens? What is TownQueens? Where is the originality here? What cities are they targeting? They say they are just in beta and have many upcoming features; what are they? How are they planning to draw in customers and how are they planning to turn a profit?
