Supernova stands as an indie music community on the World Wide Web. The basic aim of the site is to let indie artists promote themselves and their art, and give them a chance to interact with their fans easily.

The site is then subdivided in two main sections – one for music fans, and another for artists. The section for music supporters also includes an industry sign-up, so that it can be said that every angle is covered.

Artists can upload both their tracks and videos, and punters can review them. Bands can also play a “Battle of the Bands” in order to gain visibility and (hopefully) be discovered. Of course, dates on upcoming gigs are prominently featured.

Ultimately, the site lets anybody have a better representation of the way the indie scene is constituted. Indie is one of the best-loved genres if only because there is so much passion and enthusiasms at play. If you are not familiar with it, this site could be a fantastic introduction to the genre.
