StyleHive.com - Fashion, Shopping and More

    stylehive

Shopping, a girl’s favorite pastime, combined with social networking, a girl’s next fav hobby, gives you StyleHive. This site’s a treat for fashionistas and shopping fiends. You’ll find all sorts of products-- pretty things, popular baubles and jewels, casual outfits. You can simply browse through all the products and read comments/reviews; or if you prefer to join up, you can create a tagged collection, chat with fellow hivers, build a shopping magazine, make wishlists, and get noticed for your impeccable fashion sense. It’ll keep you entertained and fashionably alert. Registration is gratis, so if you’re one to shop, check out the commodities at the StyleHive.

    In their own words

“The Stylehive is a global social shopping community, dedicated to discovering and sharing the most exciting products, the stores that sell them, and the people that find them. You don't have to join the hive to enjoy it. Casual readers can just browse, search or subscribe to it via RSS. You'll discover and share what you find in the hive by exploring tags, individual people's hives, popular or recent bookmarks, and popular sites in the hive. Or, you can simply check out our blog, a publication that constantly covers what trends our editors are seeing emerge in the hive.”

Why it might be a killer

Shopping and socializing are extremely popular activities and that’s not likely to change anytime soon. StyleHive lets young stylists flaunt their looks and compare themselves with their fellow fashion mavens. The interface looks fresh and colorful with easy to follow links and well placed tabs for actually purchasing items. There are plenty of community interaction features, ie chatting and comments. It’s simply fun to look at too.

    Some questions

These shopcasting sites are growing rapidly. Most of them lack a certain definition; they fall into the same layout and design. StyleHive really isn’t that much different. It would be nice if it added more features that mimic real world shopping. Dress up dummies, perhaps, or dolls for dressing. After all, virtual shopping really isn’t the same as going into a store and trying on a Uniqlo shirt.
