Spokt is a new web-based communication hub that claims to make email look archaic and phone calls seem anti-social. At first glance, spokt would appear to be a portal for the creation of private social networks where friends and family can join a hub, share photos and communicate. Additionally, there are options to create polls to find out what your friends and family think about pertinent issues and also for sharing news. Each member gets 150MB of free storage space so you can upload photos to your heart’s content. Once you’ve read a post on Spokt it will be marked as read so you won’t have to worry about re-reading the same posts over and over again.

This could become a popular portal where groups of people go to share their lives and communicate.
