SocialFlowers.com - Fresh Flowers via Facebook

    socialflowers

Sick of sending trolls, rolls of toilet paper and the garden variety of other virtual gifts on Facebook and other social networks? If you want to send flowers to one of your friends but don’t know their home address, that’s no longer a problem. Social Flowers allows you to send flowers to members of your online community, delivered across the US and Canada. The orders are processed over a safe and secure environment, meaning, the sender will never know the recipients address and vice versa. Brighten your friend’s day and build deeper connections with the universal gift of fresh flowers.

    In their own words

Social Flowers lets you send fresh flowers to members of your social network - our flowers are delivered by local florists in the United States and Canada. Social Flowers uses a unique, safe, and secure process that keeps the personal information of the sender and the recipient private. The sender of the flowers does not need to know the recipient's address and they will never have access to it. The recipient will not have access to the sender's address or payment information. The social network itself does not need to have the recipient's address. Please see How It Works for a detailed description of the process.

Why it might be a killer

As of now the only social network you can use Social Flowers on is Facebook, and good news since it’s recent increase in members and user participation since the launch of their seriously popular applications. This service is going along the same lines as many other applications that allow you to merchandise teeshirts and various other products via Facebook.

    Some questions

Will they allow users to send flowers via Myspace, Friendster and all the rest? Will they expand their line of products beyond just flowers?
