Although the public at large is delighted with something like
Facebook, nobody would blame
college users if they felt somehow incomplete now. After all, Facebook catered only for them in the beginning, and their
parents could have no access to what they were doing, much less see >pictures of their college lives.
This site has come along in order to cover that need. Entitled Señor College, it is made of three sections that go by the names of "Bar Scene", "The Red Cup" and "College Marketplace".
The "Bar Scene" lists over 40,000 college bars at over 600 of the top colleges and universities within the US. These can be rated by the users of Señor College, and comments can be left. Pictures can be uploaded, too. And bar owners can buy premium membership in order to add bar details, list drink specials and promote their businesses on the whole.
For its part, the “Red Cup” category is the place to check for campus parties. Parties from organizations like fraternities and sororities are prominently featured, of course. And in the section named “College Marketplace” college students can post items for sale including books, electronics, furniture, housing and random items.
The vast majority of information is visible to registered users only, and in order to sign up you need to have a verified .edu address. This helps the data being protected from the outside world - the one aim of the site is there and then realized in a neat way. Chances are it will become a true point of reference for
students all over the country.
