    Sconex.com - High School Hijinx

    sconex

Sconex.com is "The Unofficial Website for your high school." Sconex seems to be jumping on the MySpace social networking bandwagon, you can post your pics and communicate with your friends and do all of the same things you would do on MySpace except this one is supposedly geared specifically for high schoolers, and it does have a few features that probably would have came in handy in high school such as the crush feature. You can add the person that you have a crush on into your crush list, and they will receive an anonymous email saying someone has a crush on them, and if that person has selects you for the crush feature as well you will both receive email notification. If other person doesn't select you back, they never know it was you and no harm done.

    In their own words

Sconex is the unofficial website for your high school - a place where you can read about your classmates, share stuff with your friends, and communicate with people from your school and nearby ones. Here are some of the things you can do once you're a member of Sconex: Set up a profile, share photos, post a mini-blog. Learn about classmates and checkout who they know. Post and read messages for your school, clubs and classes. Search for other high school students. Secretly test if someone likes you. See what's popular in your school and nationwide. Make and Take Fun Quizzes.

Why it might be a killer

The site is well made and has interesting and attractive features. All the website would have to do is get a tiny fraction of what MySpace has for it to be lucrative and it might have enough cool features to get a little bit of the high school market share.

    Some questions

There are some fun features that this site employs that MySpace is lacking, but MySpace is so unbelievably popular, especially with high school kids, can they get them to switch over?
