Reunion.com - Reunion´s Got What and Whom You´re Looking For, With Numbers To Match

    reunion

Reunion.com isn´t MySpace, it hasn´t got fancy, modern 2.0 attributes like media sharing and embedded videos, and chat platforms, and it´s got a very 90´s aesthetic that screams makeover. And yet it´s just received $25 million in funding from Oak Investment Partners. It´s also got 28 million users, and is growing steadily. Targeting the over 25 crowd, Reunion lets you find classmates, old buddies and work colleagues; you can share your photos, create a profile and find out who´s looking for you (a potentially enlightening, ego booster or nightmare). This site is old school and people like it.

    In their own words

“With a membership base of more than 25 million and growing by up to 40,000 new users every day, Reunion.com is the leader in keeping people in touch online. With its unique Who"s Searching for You? and People Search features, Members can find and reconnect with friends, classmates, lost loves, family and all their important relationships. To stay in touch with contacts in their social network, Members use the online My Contacts and patented ´Reunion.com for Outlook´ software to share contact information and other important announcements as life changes.”

Why it might be a killer

The numbers alone testify to its popularity. It´s second to Bebo in terms of user numbers, and that $25 million cash infusion isn´t chump change. The site caters to your curiosityâ€"who´s looking for you? Whom are you looking for?

    Some questions

Will users find the un-2.0ness of the site a turn-off? Will they get rid of those annoying pop-ups that beg you to stay? The fact that you have to pay isn"t too encouraging either.
