ReadWhale.com - A Social Network For Book Lovers

    readwhale

There are many definitions of what a book really is, and the role it occupies in somebody’s life. My personal favorite is the one that compares a book with a travel, since you start it with some trepidation and finish it up with a certain melancholy. In case you feel like starting a new journey, this social site will provide you with the exact fare.

It is a bit difficult to generalize about yet another social site for book lovers. In this particular case, it must be said that every feature that should be accounted for is included, such as the ability to share books by creating groups, and the option to organize a virtual bookshelf. A nice touch is that books in every language are supported – that is, the title of the book is provided along with its translated equivalent so that everybody knows what each person is reading.

Twitter is also fully supported, but that was to be expected. Any new application or tool that surfaces has to take that into consideration from now on.

All in all, a nice meeting point for literature enthusiasts the world over. If you are one, just locate your browser at www.readwhale.com and be prepared to learn about books old and new the social way.

    In their own words

“A social network for book lovers.”

Why it might be a killer

If you enjoy fine literature and wish to share your insight with others, this site is for you.

    Some questions

What could make this network stand head and shoulders above its many (similar) competitors?
