Why it might be a killer
Oobing does offer some functions not available on similar social networking sites; the chat function and photo-rating feature, to name a few. Its layout may seem less intimidating than MySpace or Facebook. Ample advertising space should generate considerable revenue, if the site proves successful.
Some questions
Oobing really doesn’t offer many more options than its competitors. Are features like the photo-rating system and the chat function really going to draw users away from already-established social networking giants Facebook and MySpace? What about privacy? There are no visible privacy settings. Very little information is provided about who created the site and why; will users want to sign up for a site that has seemingly little credibility?
