The launch fete included such notables as Ashlee Simpson and John Mayer and Mickey Avalon. Talk about cool.

Is this nothing more than a platform for third rate celebrities and scenesters to up their exclusivity factor and pat themselves on the back? Does it actualyl facilitate collaboration or successful activities? Who decides who gets in?
