    JustLeapIn.com - A 3D World Of Your Own

    justleapin

Every day, millions of us go to Facebook, Flickr, and YouTube to see what our friends are doing, browse photos or videos, and meet new people. A 3D “virtual world” could make all of that more interesting. But in reality, even as social websites are seeing explosive growth, 3D products like Second Life and web-delivered virtual worlds - including those delivered on Facebook, like Vivaty.com and Google’s Lively - are shrinking. JustLeapIn.com is here to change that. Since the experience is browser-based, users who are not comfortable with installing additional things in their computers won’t hesitate to join the experience. The experience feels just like the Sims, with the usual social networking features added to it. You’ll be able to share pictures, add music, and make new friends. The online world looks great, and should allow you to really immerse yourself in the experience. It would be interesting if they could incorporate some of the more popular social networking sites, in order for users to not have to create another online identity.

    In their own words

“Just Leap In is your virtual, 3D home on the Web. It's a place to share your stuff – photos, videos, news, and music — while meeting others who share your interests.”

Why it might be a killer

This has the potential to turn into something big. Since users won’t have to waste most part of their day building up their characters (like other online worlds), this could appeal to a wide number of users.

    Some questions

Do users need powerful connections to enjoy the experience to its fullest extent? Are there plans to expand to other networks?
