So you thought social networking was all Bebo and Facebook—Anglo creations that cater to a mostly American markets and have drawn a sizeable audience overseas. With IndiaShines, that’s changing. IndiaShines is a social network made in India for India. The MySpaces and Nings couldn’t cover the nuances of India’s rich cultural and diverse regions. IndiaShines does this, so neighbors can connect with neighbors and connect with like minded people. Of course, IndiaShines offers the usual networking affairs—photos, videos, classifieds, blogs, and more. Everything from Mumbai to Dehli to Hyderabad is covered.

Certainly not but we are trying to make a difference with providing regional content for India. Users who like to see their regional content, friends and connect will likely to get migrated to Indiashines.com. We have lot many users joined from Orkut, Facebook and Myspace.

We are just starting we are only in phase 1 beta launch, we have lot more features coming and users like what we do. Business model is to create verticals only for India and Indians all over the world to connect and communicate, find more friends, business and communities. We have various plans to develop business and community portals.
