ImIn.com - Friends are a trip

What's better than going on a trip with a bunch of your friends? Going on a trip with a bunch of your friends after having a stress-free planning experience! Usually one guy gets stuck planning an entire trip, which is painful for the martyr and fun for everyone else. In these cases, no one really knows what the plans are which leads of a hectic adventure. To avoid these headaches, take a look at ImIn.com. It is a social travel community that makes planning group trips easy and collaborative. The organizer can make a private page that will hold all of the trip information. The trip page is laid out very well and has dedicated room for friend invitations, attendance lists, photos, discussions and trip documents. For inexperienced trip planners, ImIn.com has thousands of successful trips already planned out by other users that are available for viewing and for borrowing ideas.   Why it might be a killer

This site is perfect for all groups and types of trips but especially trips that include more than a handful of people. Remembering back to Spring Break days, it was impossible to keep track of the 15 people who were going to stay in one beach house. The organizer also had to reinvent the wheel every year to try and find good houses and agencies that would rent to college kids. With ImIn.com every one is kept up to date and organized on the trip page and users can share information and find successful solutions from past vacations of other travelers

  Some questions

Can groups really get hotels to bid for their business? How does that work? Also, there are a lot of group trip planning sites, how do you plan to stand out from the rest?

Cool app. I definitely see the utility. I'm trying to organize a group of grad school friends to Vegas right now. What a disaster.

This is a pretty cool app. Lots of neat features that get at the heart of planning a trip. Obviously, the folks that built it have been through the pain. Trip suggestions are a bonus - you can download and start editing away... nice touch.
