In their own words
“Started in January 2005, Hypebeast was an idea brought about from frustration in having to scour the net for hours on end in order to get the latest in street culture news. From that Hypebeast was born and since then has grown from a small internet blog into one of the best resources of information for the street culture boosting a large audience base and loyal fans Apart from daily news, Hypebeast also provides a platform for companies and designers to showcase their products through features and interviews. Each feature/interview reflects highly on the creative and innovative field that street culture has developed into. As a result, these feature/interviews provide background info behind some of the leading companies, but also act as a source of inspiration for the growing audience that are eager to be involved in the scene. Hypebeast continues to grow as it aims to concentrate and refine the quality of news, articles and features. Hypebeast is the first website to check for any street culture enthusiast and it hopes to continue so with the help of its loyal audience. Throughout 2007, the site’s team will continue improving the site to build an even stronger community and to improve its content. ”
